A$100m commercial and retail complex, Noosa Civic comprises eight separate buildings (2,000 to 9,000 sqm) catering for diverse clientele.

Jenni Gillard contributed to all aspects of the lighting design. In keeping with commercial projects, the design achieved maximum economy while meeting the brief, functionality and compliance requirements.

The client sought more than double AS1158 light levels in car parks. This was achieved by using car park shade structures as reflectors.

Low level lighting and other techniques were used to reduce stray night light to avoid complaints from the nearby aerodrome.
