Paddington home (3)

A wonderful example of the quintessential Queenslander; timber construction, wrap around verandahs and pyramid tin roof.

Built 1901, occupying a double block and boasting some of the tallest inner-city trees, the owner sought a lighting update.

The original entryway and yard were dark and foreboding and internal lighting was pedestrian.

The Gillard Group hid lights in the tree over the outdoor eating space to create candle-like illumination, hollow logs hide lights that illuminate tree canopies, repurposed coach lamps frame the entry door and chandeliers enrich the interior.
