Wonder Factory

The Wonder Factory, Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane is a secret playground for sick kids and a creative wonderland for lighting design.

The design had to be calming yet enthralling; unstructured yet functional; and above all fun. The gloom in the distance hides data projectors, which light up the space with cartoons and movies.

The Gillard Group won an award for the work, but most pleasing was the lovely letter we received from the Hospital about how the space lit up the lives of the children.
