Theatre Lighting

When the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Awards needed more wow factor they turned to the Illuminated Engineers Society who found the Gillard Group.

For three consecutive years we designed and oversaw construction and installation of bespoke lighting sculptures and stage lighting and coordinated with venue specialists.

From massive PVC conduit that went from the floor to the cathedral ceilings of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, onward to fluttering parachutes and ending in suspended butterflies – each made a striking impression on AIA members and great backdrops for photos of award winners.
